Each year, the AB Show hosts multiple events during the annual conference and expo that gives athletics, fitness, recreation and military professionals opportunities to connect, learn and have fun.
At the show — Nov. 1-4 in Baltimore this year — organizers put together a variety of events to help attendees make new connections and foster long-established ones.
1. Welcome Reception
Each year, the Welcome Reception is an event designed to be an evening party to welcome AB Show returning attendees and newcomers to the host city at a lively venue, often featuring music and always with drinks and good eats to nibble among new and long-time industry friends. Img 5937
While the details for the Baltimore Welcome Reception aren't ready to be released yet, you can count on having a good time with us Nov. 2, 2023, 8 p.m.-11 p.m. Last year in Orlando, attendees had a great time at the two-story restaurant and bar in ICON Park, a sizable destination with an observation wheel, aquarium, shops and more. The dance floor was hopping amid tunes from the locally loved modern country group, The Greg Warren Band. This year's event in Baltimore will offer similar — yet special to the city — entertainment and eats.
Cost: Admission to the Welcome Reception is included with all AB Show full conference registrations. If you aren't an AB full conference attendee, you may purchase a ticket while registering online or when you arrive in Baltimore at the registration desk.
2. First-Timers' Reception
If it's your first AB Show, be sure to make time for the First-Timers' Reception, an event huddling up all the newcomers that offers drinks and nibbles, and a specific space to make connections with others whom you know you'll have a couple things in common — you're new and looking to make new links with other athletics industry pros. AB staff and speakers will also be among the attendees, grab a drink and say hello.
3. Early Morning Workout
The Early Morning Workout is a unique networking event — to be held on the expo show floor Nov. 3 — in which attendees can don their workout wear and get a sweat on before the show floor opens. Try out new equipment and meet like-minded folks while burning off those Welcome Reception calories.
Cost: Free to AB Show full conference attendees.
